EASE Compact Training - Two Levels in Three Days

This unique training concept is aimed at professionals in acoustics, electro acoustics and sound system design, and particularly those responsible for the assured delivery of electro acoustic solutions against exacting performance specifications.  People who should attend these courses include:

• Solution Providers and System Integrators, looking to provide compliance assurances at the detailed design proposals stage
• Consultant Engineers specifying both audio systems and room acoustic finishes to achieve STI requirements
• Manufacturers wanting to provide added-value reassurances to the application of their products in challenging acoustic environments

For over 20 years, EASE has been the de-facto standard for electro acoustic modelling, trusted in the planning of airports, underground stations, railway terminals, sports stadiums, shopping malls, classrooms, lecture rooms, theatres, concert halls, arenas and open air venues.  Through these courses, you will gain a quick entry into the purpose, the methods and the skills needed for effective and efficient use of EASE.

Level 1

will quickly get you building and analysing your first rooms for acoustic finishes and loudspeaker selections. The benefits and the primary purpose of electro acoustic modelling will be made clear during the course, along with a thorough explanation of the different modules that make up the EASE software. A basic understanding of acoustic principles will be required, including sound levels, frequency bands and reverberation. As part of the Level 1 course, these concepts will be consolidated, and previous to the start of the course there will be an opportunity for you to get clarifications one-to-one from the trainer over email. There will also be guided task-work within the 2 weeks before the course, with tutorials provided to show you the basics of installing the software, registering the included temporary licence and laying the groundwork down for your first models. All this means that the class is expected to arrive ready-to-roll, so your valuable time out of the office will be spent wisely and fruitfully from the very start of the course. This is at the heart of the EASE Compact concept.

Level 2

is dedicated to interactive, high-value and directed learning. The focus will be on participant´s real-life projects as well as on organization of efficient workflows in EASE projects.  Please note that we will strictly limit the number of participants at Level 2 in order the level of personal attention that will mean that you will leave with a very clear understanding of how to apply EASE to your live projects.  Each participant will have the opportunity to offer a real project in the weeks before the course, and at least one of these (and as many as is practicable) will be selected for directed work within the class during the course.  As in the Level 1 course, pre-course introductory work will prepare participants to get the most from their time in the sessions.

Specialty

Attendees of Level 1 are invited to stay to observe the first Level 2 session on the afternoon of May 15th, as an overview of the potential in advanced use. Participants of Level 2 are welcome to sit in on the last Level 1 session on the morning of May 15th, as a consolidation and refresher.
