What is the new SGLC file format about and how can I use it?
The XGLC file format is an open text format that third parties can use to create and store configurations for loudspeakers, line arrays and digitally steered columns. It can be loaded into EASE and other AFMG simulation software. XGLC files can also be saved from EASE and other AFMG software.
The SGLC file format is a secure version of the XGLC format. Third parties, such as creators of manufacturer aiming software, can use it to transfer configuration information, such as protected filter settings, securely to EASE where it is stored and treated securely, as well.
Implementing the SGLC format involves two steps for a loudspeaker manufacturer or third-party software provider:
- Implementing the XGLC export functionality.
- Applying at AFMG for a private key that allows encrypting the data.
Note that AFMG will issue a private key only to established parties that hold and maintain an active EASE 5 license.
