DAS Audio adopts FIRmaker licensing model

DAS Audio embraces the new FIRmaker’s licensing model, making the advanced DASaim technology available to users without additional charges. This move not only highlights DAS Audio’s commitment to innovation but also their focus on delivering exceptional value to customers.

DAS Aim technology, powered by AFMG's FIRmaker® allows for precise beam-shaping of radiated sound, ensuring high Sound Pressure Level (SPL) performance with uniform sound distribution and frequency response while avoiding unwanted sound dispersion. By integrating DAS Audio's active loudspeaker systems with the intuitive ALMA control software, the deployment of FIRmaker technology becomes straightforward and effective with just a few clicks.

Building on its proven success in real-world applications, FIRmaker beam-steering technology is now widely integrated into DAS Audio's popular ARA and AERO Series 2. This integration empowers users with a sophisticated suite of sound control features, allowing them to precisely tailor the sound to their audience. Key features include mid-frequency beam control, high-frequency side-lobe suppression, and extended low-frequency reach, resulting in an enhanced audio experience across all DAS sound systems.

German Ramos, Head of Engineering at DAS, states: “With the AERO series 2 and especially our new, more advanced ARA products, we offer our customers a great-sounding, state-of-the-art solution that is perfectly complemented by AFMG’s FIRmaker. The seamless integration with our ALMA software makes deployment straightforward. Now, with our significant investment in AFMG’s new licensing model, we are proud to make this advanced technology freely available to all our system users.”

Stefan Feistel, Managing Director at AFMG®, concludes: “Having worked very positively with DAS for many years, we found that the recent cooperation with respect to FIRmaker was particularly fruitful. DAS was one of its early broadband adopters and has demonstrated the numerous advantages that the technology brings by implementing it with their DASaim solutions based on the EASE Focus platform. When we discussed our future roadmap with DAS Audio last fall, we were glad to establish this new way of making our innovations available to all their users and applications. Now we are very much looking forward to the next steps on this path!”
