AFMG Strengthens Development Team as of July 2025

We are glad to welcome Emma Pedersini to the AFMG development team, bringing a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective.
Emma holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in electrical engineering and information technology, specializing in Embedded Systems and Computer Science, from the renowned Technical University of Munich (TUM). Her Master thesis dealt with the “Performance and Security Design Exploration of MDI-based Quantum Communication”.
After her studies, Emma worked as a software engineer at a Munich-based industrial automation company where she focused on projects in complex industrial applications and firmware development. Emma has a robust command of Python, C/C++ and various development tools in Windows and Linux environments. Her background and skills make her an excellent fit for our extensive and demanding world of simulation software.
Emma has Italian origins but was born in Berlin. Besides her native Italian, Emma speaks English and German fluently as well as a bit of Russian. Emma describes herself as a team worker with an open and communicative personality, an impression we definitely share!

When asked why she chose to work at AFMG Emma Pedersini states: "Coming from a low-level programming background, I was curious to expand my knowledge to higher-level and more abstract applications. Participating in the development of complex software like EASE seemed like the perfect opportunity to learn how to write and structure code in a clean and efficient way, and to find satisfaction in my daily work.
I really enjoy the team aspect of software development! What might seem like a solitary job is, in fact, the opposite; it requires constant interaction with your coworkers. Learning how to handle conflicts and manage so many creative minds to build something together is deeply rewarding.
I have no background in acoustic engineering. However, like for many of us, music plays a vital role in my life. Working on a product so deeply connected with the musical world, and especially with bringing music to a larger audience, seemed like a captivating prospect to me. And I find the challenge of becoming acquainted with the physics of acoustics thrilling!"
Stefan Feistel, Managing Director, comments: "We are very happy to welcome Emma to AFMG. We feel that she will be a great match for our development team because she is an engineer at heart and has already significant experience working on large and complex software. In addition, Emma shows a natural understanding of what clean code should look like!
Notwithstanding Emma's numerous competencies, we also appreciate having another multi-national staff member in our team, which nicely reflects our very diverse user base across the globe. Even more so, while women are often underrepresented in software companies, with Emma's arrival, we are proud to move close to gender parity. Different perspectives and backgrounds are a major asset for us, and we are excited to have her on board."
